Please include any requirements you have for airmen entering your facility. Methods to distribute information could include telephone calls, emails, mailings, websites, or notices to airports, flight schools and fixed base operators. (Released on June 5, 2020)

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had and continues to have dramatic consequences throughout the world. As countries struggle to contain the spread of the coronavirus, many national and international scientific, economic, cultural, and sporting events have had to be cancelled or delayed. Accordingly, it is with deep regret that we inform you that the Organization Committee has taken the difficult, but necessary, decision to postpone the First International Conference of Aerospace Medicine, which was to be held in Paris from 24-26 September 2020, to 22-24 September 2022.

COVID‐19 crisis and its effect on aviation mental health

Airlines, aviation organisations and their employees were not prepared for a pandemic, like COVID‐19. Most European and international airlines have stopped flying or are focussing on cargo flights, medical and rescue operations or return flights. Most countries have issued strict quarantine and physical distancing measures.

The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA’s) Civil Aerospace Medical Institute is again organizing the Arvind Chaturvedi Colloquium on Postmortem Forensic Toxicology in Aviation to be held during April 7-9, 2020 at the FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.

Aviation Medicine Doctors Association (AMDA) invite you to take part in the Second International AMDA Congress on 31 October – 03 November, 2019, dedicated to the 110th Anniversary of Aviation medicine in Russia.

As the AsMa congress in Las Vegas approaches, again ESAM will organise the “famous” lunch meeting on Wednesday, as well as other panels in the general program. Also, ESAM and AsMA have together organised 2 successful ECAM conferences in Europe: Oslo in 2016 and Prague in 2018.

Dear member associations of ESAM, The European Society of Aerospace Medicine – ESAM – is seeking closer collaboration with its European national aerospace medicine societies in order to promote and share more activities in aviation and space medicine across Europe.

Therefore please find enclosed a letter from ESAM President Anthony Wagstaff introducing the concept of Circle of Experts. This concept has been developed by the ESAM Advisory Board and is envisioned to serve as a platform for future collaboration and influence amongst aerospace medicine associations.
